What a concept

Just outside of Richmond we have transformed a bungalow that was built in the 70s into a Dream Home for retirement life. The original floor plan was typical of the 70s with separate rooms for the kitchen, family room, living room, and dining room. And typical of homes of this era only the eat-in kitchen and family room were ever used. Taking down structural walls and replacing them with a large structural beam to span the whole roof structure. This allowed us to open up the kitchen to the dining area and new great room, while creating a cozy study just off the side of the kitchen. The transformation has given the clients an area perfect for hosting their large family gatherings and spending quality time with each other even when one is working in the kitchen and the other is enjoying some down time.
